ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 2The giant Mickey Mouse Jack-o'-Lantern and the Town Square Christmas Tree will be the symbols of celebration for their respective holidays at Disneyland this fall. But the traditional fan favorites are only the beginning as Disneyland Resort welcomes new shows and immersive experiences, along with an exciting preview of things to come at Disney's California Adventure park.
 

It's all part of the fun as Disney Parks poses the question to guests: "What Will You Celebrate?" Whether it's the holidays, an anniversary, a family reunion or another special occasion, there's something for everyone at Disneyland Resort.
 

The fall season kicks off with a very special event: a once-in-a-lifetime private party in Disneyland for teen sensation Miley Cyrus. "Miley's Sweet 16 -- Share The Celebration" will take place Sunday evening, Oct. 5, inside Disneyland. Miley will celebrate with family, friends and fans, perform several songs, and recognize the outstanding contributions of Youth Service America, an organization that seeks to improve communities by increasing the number and diversity of young people serving as volunteers.
 

Beginning later in October, guests can enjoy an array of new attractions at Disneyland Resort, adding to the fun of the Halloween and Holiday seasons.
 

-- HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3: On Friday, Oct. 24, "High School Musical 3: Right Here! Right Now!" premieres at Disney's California Adventure. The new street show celebrates the infectious energy of the upcoming theatrical motion picture "High School Musical 3: Senior Year." Featuring a cast of 14 dynamic singers and dancers, the show takes place on a traveling "rock concert" stage. Interactive sequences featuring hot new songs from the movie will draw guests into the streets of Disney's California Adventure for an exciting live concert experience.
 

-- PIXIE HOLLOW: The magical realm of Pixie Hollow appears in Disneyland on Tuesday, October 28. Entering along a pathway with an enchanted pool, between the entrances of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland, guests are gradually immersed into the community of fairies. Guests will get the strange feeling that they are shrinking to fairy size as they encounter statues of Tinker Bell and her friends, and spot other evidence of the pixies' presence. When guests arrive at Tinker Bell's home, they will meet some of the pixies in person.
 

-- BLUE SKY CELLAR: For those who want to stay in-the-know about the expansion of Disney's California Adventure park, a preview center opens Monday, Oct. 20 at the Golden Vine Winery in Disney's California Adventure. The Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar -- named for the Imagineers' 'blue sky' creative process -- displays never-before-seen models and art outlining the concepts and design for the park's coming attractions, along with a video presentation. The showcase will be updated regularly so that fans can stay abreast of developments.
 

-- SLEEPING BEAUTY CASTLE WALKTHROUGH: Sleeping Beauty Castle, a beloved Disneyland landmark since the park's debut in 1955, will open a "reawakened" version of its classic Castle walkthrough in time for the December holiday season. The new scenes inside the corridors tell the Sleeping Beauty story with modern special effects technology that recreates the look of the original Sleeping Beauty Castle walkthrough of the 1950s through the 1970s.
 

The new attractions and shows offer added value for Disney fans this fall as they enjoy all the traditional holiday attractions at Disneyland Resort.
 

Halloween highlights at Disneyland include the 16-foot-tall Mickey Mouse Jack-o'-Lantern on Main Street, U.S.A.; Woody's Halloween Roundup at Big Thunder Ranch; and Haunted Mansion Holiday, inspired by Tim Burton's "Nightmare Before Christmas," which continues into the Christmas season.
 

At Disney's California Adventure, Halloween is celebrated at Candy Corn Acres, featuring Goofy's whimsical candy corn "crops." Families also will enjoy a fun and safe trick-or-treating experience at the separate-admission nighttime Mickey's Trick-or-Treat party, with treat locations throughout the park.
 

The Christmas holiday season gets underway on Friday, Nov. 21, when the traditional "A Christmas Fantasy" daily parade and "Believe ... in Holiday Magic" fireworks make their seasonal debuts. The towering Christmas tree appears on Main Street, U.S.A., and the decor and nighttime show surrounding "Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle" will be will be more spectacular than ever. The lights and effects that appear after dark extend down Main Street, U.S.A., and to the Christmas tree at Town Square for a sparkling transformation that sets the scene for "Believe ... In Holiday Magic" fireworks with their magical snowfall finale.
 

Additional holiday highlights include the return, Nov. 21, of the "it's a small world holiday" attraction, celebrating holiday traditions around the world. Guests will visit Santa Claus throughout the season at Santa's Reindeer Round-up in Big Thunder Ranch, and those looking for a unique experience will reserve time with a guide for Disney's Holiday tours.

Pinocchio, the beloved story of a wooden puppet who wants to become a real boy, comes to Platinum Edition DVD and Disney Blu-ray in spring 2009. Disney's second full-length animated movie, Pinocchio won two Oscars(R), one for Best Score and another for the unforgettable song "When You Wish upon a Star." It returns for the first time since 2002.
 

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, honored with a special Academy Award(R) for screen innovation this movie has been unavailable since 2001. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Platinum Edition will be released in the fall of 2009.
 

Walt Disney's experimental masterpiece Fantasia won two honorary Oscars for its innovative use of animation and music. Most recently released in 2000, the restored and remastered Fantasia Platinum Edition will be available in 2010. Alongside this release, a newly restored and remastered Fantasia 2000 Platinum Edition, will be available. Fantasia 2000 begins where its predecessor, Fantasia, left off, with seven completely new segments and the return of the popular "The Sorcerer's Apprentice," featuring breathtaking images coupled with classical music favorites.
 

In conjunction with these releases, Destino, the unfinished animated feature film created by Walt Disney and famed surrealist painter Salvador Dali will release. Begun in 1946, it was rediscovered in 2003 and completed by Walt's nephew, Roy E. Disney. The collaboration between these two legendary artists will be available to own for the first time along with an all-new feature-length documentary that examines the surprising partnership between Dali and Disney.
 

Beauty and the Beast, the only animated film ever nominated for an Academy Award(R) for Best Picture, earned a breathtaking six Academy Award(R) nominations and won two Oscars(R). Beauty in the Beast Platinum Edition will be available in fall 2010.

OCTOBER ROAD: The Complete First Season – Can you ever really go home again? Celebrated novelist Nick Garrett did, and you can welcome him back with the October 30th DVD debut of October Road from Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment. Nick, played by Bryan Greenberg (“One Tree Hill”), moved out of his tiny Massachusetts burg to pursue literary fame and fortune in New York ten years ago. But success is a hungry beast, and his cosmopolitan editors want more than just a one-trick writer. So Nick moves back home with his widowed father, affectionately known as “The Commander” (Tom Berenger of “Platoon”), in order to bust up his writer’s block. The problem is, Nick transparently used his friends as unflattering literary fodder for his best-selling autobiographical book and they resent him for it.  Laura Prepon (“That ‘70s Show”) stars as Nick’s former high school sweetheart, Hannah Daniels, and Slade Pearce (“Air Buddies”) as her precocious nine year old son Sam. Walt Disney's Own Disneyland Dream Suite Will Open Its Doors to Lucky Guests For an Overnight Stay Inside Disneyland Park

A DREAM LIKE NO OTHER IS ON ITS WAY TO DISNEYLAND RESORT DURING THE YEAR OF A MILLION DREAMS

ANAHEIM, Calif., Oct. 1  -- For the first time in history, lucky guests will have the chance to spend an unforgettable night inside Disneyland Park during the Year of a Million Dreams most nights starting January 31, 2008 during the 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway. A guest will be escorted on the same day awarded into the most extraordinary accommodations at Disneyland Resort: the Disneyland Dream Suite, an in-park apartment originally planned for Walt Disney himself.
 

The overnight stay in the Disneyland Dream Suite will be a highlight among the more than a million "dream come true" experiences awarded through random process to eligible Disneyland Resort guests and mail-in participants in the 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway. Mail-in winners of prizes that require use on day awarded, such as the Disneyland Dream Suite, will receive a prize of comparable value.
 

Disney Imagineers are hard at work remodeling a suite of rooms above New Orleans Square in the Park, conceived by Walt Disney as a private apartment for his family and closest friends. The rooms, which most recently housed The Disney Gallery, will be restored to Disney's original vision of deluxe living quarters. Vintage design illustrations, created under Disney's personal direction, have been recovered and are being used as inspiration for the look, furnishings and other decor elements in the Suite. Special design touches are being incorporated to evoke memories of Disney's diverse interests and the rich heritage of Disneyland.
 

The guests chosen through a random process to enjoy a "dream stay" in the Disneyland Dream Suite will be following in the footsteps of Walt Disney. His dedication to the constant growth and development of Disneyland resulted in frequent overnight stays in a small private apartment which remains today above the Fire House on Main Street, U.S.A. In the 1960s, as plans were developed for the New Orleans Square area, Disney brought in illustrator and designer Dorothea Redmond (Gone with the Wind) and set decorator Emile Kuri (Mary Poppins, It's a Wonderful Life) to help him create a larger, more lavish apartment where he could entertain friends, family, VIP guests and dignitaries.
 

Unfortunately, Disney passed away before the Suite was completed. Over the years, the rooms were used as offices and to entertain visiting business associates until, in 1987, the space became The Disney Gallery, a unique venue displaying artwork originally created during the development of various Disney movies and theme park attractions. Only now, 40 years later, is Disney's dream being fulfilled. The rooms are being returned to their original intended purpose and, as Disney wished, the Disneyland Dream Suite will be occupied by overnight guests.
 

"Our plan has been to use the renderings that Walt worked on with Dorothea Redmond and to replicate those as exactly as we can," said Walt Disney Imagineering Art Director Kim Irvine. "Her illustrations were very specific, with a color and style for each room.
 

"But to make it special for the guests, we want it to be more than just a beautiful suite. We want it to be filled with things that might have inspired Walt as he dreamed of Disneyland."
 

Located above Pirates of the Caribbean in the New Orleans Square section of Disneyland, the 2,600-square-foot Disneyland Dream Suite includes a living room, open-air patio, two bedrooms and two bathrooms. In addition to that night's lodging in the Disneyland Dream Suite, each selected 2008 Disney Dreams Giveaway winner of the Disneyland Dream Suite will also be celebrated as the Honorary Grand Marshal in that day's Disneyland parade. The winner and their guests will enjoy dinner, late-night snacks and beverages, and the dazzling view overlooking New Orleans Square and the Rivers of America, where a private balcony provides an ideal vantage point on nights when fireworks or the "Fantasmic!" spectacular are presented.
 

Guests may enter the Dream Suite by climbing the grand staircase outside the entrance to the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction. An elevator will be available to accommodate guests with disabilities. Through the doorway at the top of the stairs is the Living Room, to be designed in a French Provincial style reflecting the New Orleans Square setting. Unusual decorative items like a full-size carousel horse, a mechanical songbird and original wall paintings of European castles will conjure up memories of Walt Disney and the inspirations that went into creating the magical world of Disneyland.
 

The Suite features not one, but two Master Bedrooms. In one, the spirit of early 20th century innovation and the American frontier will be summoned with an earthy color scheme, leather furniture, a cast-iron stove, an electric train and vintage mechanical toys. The other Master Bedroom is on the side of the residence nearest Adventureland, and its lush decor and atmosphere will evoke the exotic flavor of jungle adventure stories as told in the Victorian era.
 

The Bayou-themed Patio, central to the Disneyland Dream Suite and open to the sky above, will be filled with tropical vegetation, furnished with comfortable chaises and illuminated by Chinese lanterns. Using a type of Disney magic familiar to guests on Pirates of the Caribbean, the Patio will also be visited by fireflies.
 

As guests settle in for a stay in the Disneyland Dream Suite, they'll discover special effects surprises in each room. It could be a special tune in a striking clock, a sunset or a starscape that appears when the lights go down, subtle audio enhancements, or something totally unexpected.

In its first week, it also certified Gold in Ireland, the UK, Canada, Singapore, the Philippines and Malaysia.

The feat comes just five days after the premiere of Disney Channel's Original Movie High School Musical 2 made history as the most-watched basic cable telecast of all time among Total Viewers (17.2 million strong) as well as the most-watched TV telecast ever in Kids 6-11, and most-watched entertainment telecast ever in Tweens 9-14. Impressively, High School Musical 2 was TV's most-watched Friday telecast in more than 5 years and was the #1 telecast of the week in Total Viewers across all TV.

Last year, the soundtrack to the first High School Musical TV movie spent two non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on The Billboard 200, and was the first television movie soundtrack to reach the top spot.
