Harveys Disney Couture Collection Launched at Vault 28
Collectors of Disney and Harveys can rejoice in the Harveys for Disney Couture launched at Disney Vault  28 in downtown Disney in Anaheim.  Dana Harvey, the creator of the distinctive seat belt bags made a special appearance and autographed a limited edition Harvey Disney tote.
Fans waited several hours for the special event at Disney’s Vault 28, an absolute delight for adults desiring Disney Couture, the halo brand, or high end of Disney.    Waiting since they had heard of the collaboration, Jessica Rodriguez proudly shared how she had won entry to the launch event.  Harveys seatbelt bags were bought in multiples as fans brought fans.  Each of the people I spoke with, owned half a dozen or more of Harveys seatbeltbags.
The Disney Couture edition of Harveys is a vintage Disney comic illustrating the story of Mickey Mouse serenading Minnie Mouse in a custom printed webbing.  The Classic Collection is a full color version of the comic strip while the Carriage Collection is a black and white version.  Cosmetic pouches, baguettes, clutches, totes, satchels and messengers plus special Disney touches of Mickey lining, dangles, and Harveys for Disney Couture labeling.  The collection begins at $34 for the Mickey Zip Pouch to $268 for the Disney Carriage Large Satchel.
When you look at the collection, you can’t help but smile as Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse remind you of the happiest place on earth, and now you can tote them around with you.

When I Move You Move
“Through my lines I have created a story and a lifestyle, and I want to express that with my show.  I don’t want just another trade show; I want an experience that people will never forget!”  Christian Audigier

Christian Audigier rocked the fashion world with his tradeshow When I Move You Move at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas August 25-27, 2008.   Breaking away from MAGIC and Project, held twice a year in Las Vegas, Audigier created a buzz that rippled much further than the week of Las Vegas fashion.
Promoted as an experience of the lifestyle and spirit of his brands, When I Move You Move, was the place to be during the week of fashion in Las Vegas.  Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier lifestyle brands  were featured and complimented by select brands.  Ed Hardy and Christian Audigier are known for their Don Ed Hardy based tattoo graphic, bright colors and fashion which can take you from day to evening.
Twin Smart Car Tattoos, the hottest coolest Smart Cars, yin and yang Ed Hardy-ized  screamed custom luxury and for a fraction of the acquisition cost of a Smart Car available immediately.
Center stage, the boxing ring midst the exhibit floor served as both stage and catwalk.  Guests eagerly volunteered to go on stage to have their own Ed Hardy custom cut shirt creation.
Adorning the boxing ring for performances and hallways were models, some with painted letters for When I Move You Move.   Massage stations, food and an open bar.   The floor buzzed with energy.

Highlighting  fashion were live performances by Dave Stewart, TI, Macy Gray and Snoop Dogg.  Each of of them introduced fashion lines, Dave Stewart’s Rock Fabulous™,  TI’s Akoo, Macy Gray’s SNAC™ and Snoop Dog’s new line Co Co Ri™ in addition to his Rich and Infamous line.  Where else would you see a fashion collection introduced midst a live performance?

Nicky Hilton showcased her Chick collection and Tara Reid walked the fashion show ring, showing her line Mantra.

Dave Stewart’s evening performance with his Rock Fabulous orchestra was an unforgettable experience.  Christian Audigier was beaming as Dave Stewart approached him at the front of the stage and had him strum the strings of Dave Stewart’s guitar during the performance.

After the performances of Dave Stewart and Macy Gray at When I Move You Move, each of them entertained at another live performance at the Treasure Island poolside, followed by continued entertainment at the Christian Audigier The Nightclub at Treasure Island.

We were fortunate to be able to sit down with Christian Audigier.  A southern French accent still prevalent, gentlemanly manners, and yes a family man, with his daughter having her own line Crystal Rock™.   His life is being chronicled by videographers and photographers which trailed him throughout the show.  A favorite of his lifestyle brands, the swimsuits.

Previously, I had thought about him as the Godfather of Fashion, an image furthered by his meteoric rise in his fashion empire and the billboards promoting When I Move You Move.  How do you top a showing like When I Move You Move? Next a hotel.
