MGM’s exhilarating WEST SIDE STORY, the iconic Oscar®-winning film, celebrates its 50th anniversary this year with its memorizing songs and electric dance numbers by reaching a whole new generation of fans. Song classics “Somewhere” and “Something’s Coming” were recently featured on the hit Fox show GLEE with additional songs from West Side Story to be featured over the coming weeks.

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment will be releasing a special collector’s edition of MGM’s WEST SIDE STORY for the first time on Blu-ray November 15, featuring four discs, a collectible booklet, soundtrack CD and more. Earlier this year the film was honored at both The Hollywood Bowl and over two nights at the New York Philharmonic.

On the heels of the phenomenal success of The Lion King 3D – which will cross the $80 million mark at the domestic box office today – The Walt Disney Studios has announced limited theatrical engagements for four of its classic films for the first time in 3D. The following titles from Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios will be released in 2012 and 2013:

* Disney•Pixar’s Finding Nemo – September 14, 2012

NASHVILLE - The star-packed lineup for "The 45th Annual CMA Awards" continues to grow with today's announcement that the reigning CMA Vocal Group of the Year Lady Antebellum, reigning CMA Female Vocalist of the Year Miranda Lambert, and one of this year's top nominees, The Band Perry, have joined the performer lineup.

"The 45th Annual CMA Awards," hosted by Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood, airs live from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Wednesday, Nov. 9 (8:00-11:00 PM/ET) on the ABC Television Network. Previously announced performers include Jason Aldean, Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, and Keith Urban, plus Paisley and Underwood in their first live televised-performance of their No. 1 song "Remind Me."

Twitter struggles to find a way to open marketers' wallets
Twitter is a vast social media platform, but it's struggling to turn its scale into a tool marketers are willing to pay for, Joe Hagan writes. "To convince advertisers to pay Twitter, and not Kim Kardashian, Twitter needs mass scale, to 'surface' all manner of customers to advertisers in a predictable and measurable way, over and above what they can achieve with one or two celebrity Twitter feeds. Twitter's not there yet," he writes.

Yahoo! to take plunge into social ad targeting

Apple to unveil new iPhone, other products today
Apple is widely expected to debut the newest model of the iPhone today and to make a number of other product announcements, including iOS 5 and more details about the iCloud service. Recently installed CEO Tim Cook will lead the media event at Apple headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., taking the customary place of chairman and co-founder Steve Jobs.

Toshiba rolls out Blu-ray server with 5TB drive
Toshiba has introduced the Regza Blu-ray DBR-M190, a player with a hard-disk drive that has 5 terabytes of storage space. Four terabytes of that is devoted to the server's Time Shift recording capacity; the device can hold 15 days of high-definition content from six tuners.

Mitsubishi still sees value in rear-projection DLP TVs
Mitsubishi Electric is the last major manufacturer of DLP-based rear-projection large-screen television sets, with most TV makers having shifted their focus to LCD TVs and light-emitting diode TVs. The company points out that its rear-projection models are often priced at half the cost of a comparable-size LCD TV

Online music service Rhapsody has sealed a deal to acquire Napster subscribers and other assets from Best Buy for an undisclosed amount. Rhapsody expects the deal to help it expand and stay competitive.

Report: YouTube is making content deals with Tony Hawk, others
The Wall Street Journal reports that YouTube is wrapping up agreements with skateboard mogul Tony Hawk and big media companies to provide original content for new channels on the video website, citing people familiar with the matter. Other parties that may launch video channels on the Google subsidiary's site include Warner Bros. and the ShineReveille unit of News Corp., according to the report
