DUB Show Kicks Off It’s 2007 Tour in Los Angeles
The DUB Show kicked off its 2007 US 16 city tour in Los Angeles , a hop skip and a jump from DUB’s Southern California headquarters with 30,000 attendees and the hottest custom rides seen in the past year of any car show.
Promoted as The World’s Largest Custom Auto Show and Concert Tour, we would have to agree. With the concert portion to that, and the possibility to see all-star performances with Ludacris amongst other musical performances for the cost of entry and it’s no mystery why there were crowds standing outside in excess of an hour, if they were lucky enough to get in, and parking escalated to $40 a car.
The overall customization of most of the rides were far superior to any car show attended, whether it was the SEMA show in Las Vegas, Hot Import Nights, the Los Angeles Auto Show amongst others.
Customized rides included DUB’s Alpine Imprint Mercedes RLS unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas , celebrity cars, sponsored cars, and cars from car clubs so customized that they are art on wheels. Two owners, we’d spoken with which had been awarded first place in their categories, had spent 2-1\2 years customizing their rides and an investment 2-3 times the initial price of the car.
Hot on the customized show gloss rides were airbrushing, custom upholstery with many Coach details, plenty of monitors, gullwing doors, and hoods that opened with a zig zag clamshell.
DUB’s next tour stop in on April 29th in Phoenix , Arizona . Our advice, go early,

DUB’s LOS ANGELES SHOW RECAP
The tour kick-off this past Sunday March18th set the perfect tone for the 2007 show series with DUB Magazine's largest show in it's seven year history. More than 30,000 attendees crammed into the Los Angeles Convention Center to see a collection of the nation's hottest custom rides and the all star concert performances. It was the largest automotive event to ever hit Los Angeles !
With more than $15 million worth of exotic cars, luxury sedans, sport compacts, 4x4's, and motorcycles on display, the DUB show in L.A. was the only place to see such a diversity in customs under one roof. Highlights included Alpine's debut of the $1 million Imprint Mercedes RLS, as well as a huge roster of exotics including the Mercedes Benz SLR, McLaren 722, Ferrari Enzo, and dozens of vehicles from Lamborghini, Aston Martin, Bentley and many others. Also on display were the new line-up of DUB Edition customs such as the Dodge Nitro and Caliber, Chrysler Aspen, Chevy Tahoe, and the hot new Wrangler Unlimited on 30-inch TIS:M wheels. Another DUB show staple is the celebrity car showcase which this time featured rides from Gwen Stefani, Matt Leinart, and Danity Kane just to name a few.
The all-star concert lit up the convention center capacity crowd with performances from the LAX Boys, Baby Bash, Jim Jones, Bone Thugs 'n Harmony, Hot Dollar with Guerilla Black, Mike Jones, and Ludacris, with a special unannounced performance from Chris Brown! Among the many celebrities roaming the show floor were football stars Matt Leinart & Smush Parker, Vida Guerra, Chris Brown, Sergio Mora, Will I Am, Bernard Hopkins, Rampage, and Korn's Fieldy.
Our sincerest apologies to those who waited outside of the convention hall and were turned away when the show was announced as sold out in the early afternoon. In the effort to produce an even better show for 2008, next year's L.A. show will be pre-sale tickets only, to ensure a smoother experience to those who wish to attend.
Hot cars, hot music, hot models and our own Joyce Chow all on display.
