SnoCountry Snow Condition Reports Now Featured on MyFOX Interactive Websites
SnoCountry Ski Areas Association (www.snocountry.com), the largest snow conditions reporting agency in the world, has joined forces with Fox Interactive to create a comprehensive map highlighting ski and snowboard conditions throughout North America. This new interactive resort conditions map is featured on MyFOX websites in 26 major US TV markets including 9 of the top 10. An innovative interface allows skiers to obtain up-to-date ski reports for hundreds of ski areas by scrolling across a regional map. A quick click on a ski area icon brings up its most current conditions and trail count and other important information.
"The way MyFOX has integrated SnoCountry resort information into a map makes it easy for skiers to find out what is happening in areas they are interested in," explains SnoCountry president Tom Cottrill. "By using a map as the starting point, MyFOX will help people discover new places to visit and find their best options near home or where they like to vacation."
The MyFOX interactive ski conditions maps are one part of a major internet presence that Fox has embarked upon. According to Mark Taylor, vice president of weather and mapping services for Fox Interactive, "SnoCountry was chosen because its ski and snowboard content is the best. They have worked with us every step of the way to integrate our state-of-the-art mapping with their up- to-the-minute content. We look forward to working closely with SnoCountry as we expand the number of winter sites for Fox Interactive in the future."
The partnership with MyFOX is one of many programs that SnoCountry Ski Areas Association offers to make sure skiers are aware of conditions on their favorite resorts. Hundreds of national and international media partners including The Weather Channel, USAToday.com, The Associated Press, PR Newswire, and Microsoft Live turn to SnoCountry for the most accurate and comprehensive ski, snowboard and cross country conditions in the world. Auto Club: Gas Prices Move Steadily Upward, Surpass $3 on Central Coast
March 09, 2007 -- Gas prices increased after the beginning of March at a slightly slower pace than during the last week of February, but still fast enough for California to overtake Hawaii as the U.S. state with the most expensive fuel, according to the Automobile Club of Southern California's Weekend Gas Watch.
The average price of self-serve regular gasoline in the Los Angeles-Long Beach area is $2.934, which is 11.7 cents higher than last week, 38 cents higher than last month, and 38 cents higher than last year. In San Diego, the price is $2.946, which is 10.9 cents above last week's price, 37 cents above last month, and 38 cents above last year. On the Central Coast, the average price is $3.051, up 8.9 cents from last week, 33 cents above last month, and 37 cents higher than last year. In the Inland Empire, the average price is $2.935, 10.8 cents above last week, 37 cents higher than last month, and 37 cents higher than last year.
"With five straight weeks of price increases, the California average price of $2.96 a gallon is now more expensive than the Hawaii average price of $2.87," said Auto Club spokesperson Carol Thorp. "Speculators concerned about California's tight fuel market have pushed wholesale prices up quickly."
The Weekend Gas Watch monitors the average price of gasoline as of 12:01 a.m., March 9:

As the winner of the 2006 Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race, professional skateboarder and X Games Gold Medalist Bucky Lasek returns in the "Pro" category in 2007. "Last year was my first time out and it was a blast," said Lasek. "This year, being back with the pros, my strategy is to stick as close as I can, try to get through traffic quickly and just hold better lines than everybody else."
Lasek joins three other drivers in the "Pro" category including NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Pro Champions Mike Skinner and Todd Bodine and NHRA Champion Scott Kelley. The Southern California Toyota Dealer is being represented by Tustin Toyota General Manager RJ Romero.
Rounding out the field are two novice drivers, Jerry Westlund and Annamarie Dean, who each won places in the race for donations they made in two different charity auctions.
"This is sure to be one of the most unique races we've had in the three decades we've been conducting the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race," said Les Unger, Toyota's national motorsports manager. "Traditionally, we've found that women are some of the more competitive drivers, but -- win or lose -- this is a race that's exciting for all the celebrities and pros alike because it offers the high-speed challenge of real racing, combined with a worthwhile charitable endeavor."
Toyota will donate $5,000 to "Racing for Kids" in the name of each celebrity racer, and another $5,000 to the winning racer's charity of choice. Racing for Kids is a non-profit program benefiting children's hospitals in Long Beach and Orange County, Calif.
Finally, a $15,000 donation is made in conjunction with the annual "PEOPLE Pole Award." Sponsored by PEOPLE magazine, the award honors the pole-position winner of the Toyota Pro/Celebrity Race qualifying session on Friday, April 13. On behalf of the race and its participants, Toyota has donated close to $1.5 million to various children's organizations since 1991.

Statement by Stephen J. Collins, President of the Automotive Trade Policy Council on Congressional Proposal to Open Korea's Automotive Market
Statement by Stephen J. Collins, president of the Automotive Trade Policy Council, on congressional proposal to open Korea's automotive market:
On behalf of DaimlerChrysler, Ford and General Motors, I want to express deep appreciation to Members of the House and Senate today for their innovative and thoughtful proposal to secure a fair trade deal for the U.S. auto industry in a Free Trade Agreement with Korea.
This proposal addresses Korea's refusal to open its market or keep its past commitments on free and open auto trade. It ensures that the Korean Government will have to provide U.S. automakers with real and meaningful access to Korea's auto market, if they are to be given special access to our market.
Korea has a long and disturbing history of keeping its market closed to all imported autos while freely exporting to the world. Indeed, total sales of imported cars and trucks into Korea from every country have barely risen above 3% of the total market -- a market that is in the top five in the world in production. Korea is currently exporting 700,000 vehicles a year to the U.S. while importing about 4,000 from the U.S. This is not a picture of free, open, or fair trade.
We look forward to working with the Congress and the Administration to seek an agreement with the Koreans that creates real two-way trade, and ends the era of Korea's closed auto market.

MAXIMUM 1st GEN F-BODY PERFORMANCE
NEW Chassis Max 1967-69 Convertible Strengthening System
Santa Fe Springs, CA – First generation Camaros and Firebirds are fun to drive and easy to modify. However, the availability of high-power engines and sticky tires that didn’t exist in the ‘60s means these classic drop tops can twist under pressure. Now there’s a solution. Hotchkis Performance announces the new Chassis Max System for 1967-69 F-Body Convertibles.
Included in the system are an exclusive new high-tech cross brace and subframe connectors. The result is a strengthened chassis, added structural integrity, and drastically improved handling. Chassis Max connects the subframe to the leaf spring pickup points, making your F-body rock solid. Hotchkis designed the system to work with up to 3-inch diameter dual exhaust. The superior multi-piece design contours around the undercarriage, maintaining ground clearance and a clean look. Chassis Max reduces stress on valuable paint and bodywork, and you can finally reap the full rewards of a built engine and good tires.
All three components in the Chassis Max System were CAD designed and manufactured in the USA using precision CNC machines. A durable gloss black powdercoat finish means the parts won’t chip or crack, and all necessary polyurethane subframe mount bushings and hardware is included.
