The USO and the NFL Bring Football Stars to Visit Troops on USO/AFE Tour to the Persian Gulf

National Football League (NFL) players Will Shields, Shelton Quarles, Alge Crumpler and Ben Watson will soon embark on their first USO/Armed Forces Entertainment tour to the Persian Gulf. Shields (Kansas City Chiefs), Quarles (Tampa Bay Buccaneers) Crumpler, (Atlanta Falcons) and Watson (New England Patriots) will meet with service members and sign autographs.

This tour continues a partnership between the NFL and the USO that began more than 40 years ago. In the past four decades, NFL stars, including Don Meredith, Larry Csonka, Dick Butkus, Gene Upshaw, Terry Bradshaw, Howie Long and Mike Singletary, have visited troops on USO/AFE tours to such locations as Somalia, Bosnia, Korea, Japan, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Iraq.

Last year, the "The USO and NFL 40th Anniversary Tour" traveled to Kosovo, Kyrgyzstan, Afghanistan, the United Arab Emirates, and aboard the USS Ronald Reagan. NFL players Bryce Fisher (Seattle Seahawks), Patrick Kerney (Atlanta Falcons) and Max Starks (Pittsburgh Steelers) met with service members at various locations in the region to provide a morale boost to troops stationed far from home.

This tour also continues the USO tradition of bringing celebrities and sports figures to service members serving far from home. Football stars who have recently made trips for the USO include legendary coach Lou Holtz, Louisiana State University football coach Les Miles, Larry Izzo and Warrick Dunn.

USO tours are sponsored by AT&T, Inc., the official telecommunications sponsor of USO entertainment tours.

Hybrid Vehicle Registration Growth-Rate Slows in 2006

Market Volume Surpasses 250,000 Units, Toyota Continues to Lead

Nationwide registrations for new hybrid vehicles rose to 254,545 in 2006 - a 28 percent increase from 2005, according to R. L. Polk & Co. The increase is the second-lowest year-over- year increase since 2000.

California continues to lead the nation in hybrid vehicle registrations (Table 1). Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego contribute to the state's leadership with more registrations than any other metropolitan market, combining for 22.3 percent of all hybrid registrations (Table 2).

"Consumers know that hybrids are important to the environment, but they are not the only option," said Lonnie Miller, director of Industry Analysis for R. L. Polk & Co. "Automakers still have obstacles to overcome to prove the merit of owning a hybrid, including educating customers about developing hybrid technology; debunking the myth that hybrids are only needed when gas prices rise and general apathy or risk averse attitudes toward the relatively new-to-market technology. The challenge is for automakers to stay the course and to continue exploring fuel-efficient viable options for next-generation vehicles."

Overall, the hybrid category reflects just over 1.5 percent of all new vehicle registrations in the U.S. For the third year in a row, Toyota Prius led the segment with 42.8 percent of new registrations.

"The Prius continues to set the pace for this category. However, with several models debuting over the next two years, and many in the works for the near future, Toyota market share will be challenged. We will see if it can maintain its foothold at the top," said Miller.

Following the Toyota Prius, the Toyota Highlander was the second most- registered hybrid model, taking 12.5 percent of the category, followed by the Honda Civic, with 12.3 percent of all new hybrid registrations. Combined, Toyota and Lexus had more than 75 percent of all new hybrid registrations in 2006.

The core set of hybrid vehicles offered today are automobiles powered by internal combustion engines, and are equipped with batteries recharged during driving and an electric motor to assist with power demand. Hybrids deliver exceptional mileage compared to their gas-only counterparts and are considered environmentally-friendly alternatives to traditional internal combustion engine vehicles.

CONSUMER REACTION

In mid-2006, the Polk Center for Automotive Studies conducted a poll of over 700 consumers regarding their hybrid viewpoints. More than half of respondents strongly or somewhat believe every vehicle sold today should have a hybrid version offered. Similarly, nearly 50 percent of participants support paying for fuel-efficient technology now so later generations can benefit.

"It can be challenging to get consumers to think long term with their vehicle purchases, but these results are encouraging," said Miller. "The fact

that many Americans are familiar with and interested in fuel-efficient technology on a base level is influential to the industry."

SnoCountry Reports Latest Skiing Conditions Information

Following are the latest skiing conditions information as supplied by SnoCountry Mountain Reports as of Saturday, Feb 24 2007, 6:26:27 PM EST

Alpine Skiing/Riding conditions are subject to change due to weather, skier traffic and other factors. Be aware of changing conditions.

SNOW CONDITION DEFINITIONS & TERMS

This glossary of terms is used by all ski areas when they report to SCR. The code allows for communication with skiers in a universal language.

NOTE: The standard abbreviations next to each definition reflect the way ski reports are communicated in print (newspapers).

New Snow: Natural snowfall which has fallen in the past 24 hours or continuously for more than one day. An average accumulation from summit to base is reported.

Average Base Depth: An average of the high and low amounts of snow over the entire ski area. Machine made and natural snow amounts are combined.

Primary Surface Condition: The type of snow condition which covers at least 70 percent of the terrain open to skiers.

Secondary Surface Condition: The next most prevalent snow conditions, covering at least 20% of the skiing terrain open to skiers.

Powder-PDR: Cold, new, loose, fluffy, flaky and dry snow which has not been compacted.

Packed Powder-PP: Powder snow, either natural or machine made, that has been packed down by skier traffic or grooming machines. The snow is no longer fluffy, but is not so extremely compacted that it is hard.

Hard Pack-HP: When natural or machine made snow becomes very firmly packed. The snow has never melted and re-crystallized, but it's been tightly compressed through grooming and continuous wind exposure. You can plant a pole in hard packed snow, but it takes more effort than packed powder.

Machine Groomed Snow-MGS: Loose granular snow that has been repeatedly groomed by power tillers so that the texture is halfway between LSGR & PP. Some of the snow is granular & has been so pulverized that the crystals are like powder sugar. It's neither LSGR or PP.

Wet Snow-WETSN: Powder or packed powder snow that has become moist due to a thaw or rainfall, or snow which was moist when it fell.

Wet packed Snow-WPS: Natural or machine made snow that has been previously packed and becomes wet usually because of rainfall.

Loose Granular-LSGR: This surface results after powder or packed powder thaws, then refreezes and recrystalizes, or from an accumulation of sleet. This is also created by machine grooming of frozen or icy snow.

Frozen Granular-FRGR: This is undoubtedly the most misunderstood surface condition in ski reporting. It is defined as a hard surface of old snow formed by granules freezing together after rain or warm temperatures. Frozen granular will support a ski pole stuck into its surface while ice will chip away and not support a pole.

Wet Granular-WETGR: Loose or frozen granular snow which becomes wet after rainfall or high temperatures.

Icy-ICE: Not to be confused with frozen granular, ice is a hard, glazed surface created either by freezing rain, ground water seeping up into the snow and freezing or by the rapid freezing of snow saturated with water from rain or melting. Ice will chip away and not support a ski pole when stuck into it.

Variable Conditions-VC: When no primary surface (70%) can be determined, variable conditions describe a range of surfaces that a skier may encounter. Parts of trails can be Loose Granular, partly Packed Powder, and parts Frozen Granular, for example.

Corn Snow-CORN: Usually found in the spring, Corn Snow is characterized by large, loose granules during the day, which freeze together at night, then warm up again and loosen during the day.

Spring Conditions-SC: This is the spring version of Variable Conditions. It is used when no one surface can describe 70% or more of the terrain open for skiers.

Windblown Snow-WBLN: Powder or granular snow which has been blown by wind into forming a base.

Alpine Skiing/Riding conditions are subject to change due to weather, skier traffic and other factors. Be aware of changing conditions.

NEW TURFGRASS IS PLATINUM CHOICE FOR GOLF COURSES

Naples, FL - The new look in golf course turfgrass is Platinum. Turf Ecosystems, along with Ron R. Duncan, PhD, announce the introduction of Platinum TE, a paspalum turfgrass cultivar that offers golf courses unparalleled appearance and playability. Platinum TE is scheduled to be certified and available in limited supply by September 2007.

This new turfgrass is designed to provide unprecedented aesthetics. It features a darker green color than most other paspalum cultivars, which results in superior striping capability. Plus, Platinum TE plays as great as it looks. Its fine leaf blade and tight internode spacing create a very compact canopy surface that provides exceptional ball set up and puttability. Even in low light intensity conditions, it has exhibited superior growth performance and sustainability, making it an ideal turfgrass for areas with persistent cloudy or rainy climatic patterns.

"Platinum TE has proven to be a genetically unique cultivar," said Turf Ecosystems Vice President Ron R. Duncan, PhD. "Through DNA profile analysis, it has demonstrated distinct genetic separation from all other paspalum cultivars.  Platinum TE's coloring and other characteristics make it an extremely attractive turfgrass."

In addition to its exceptional appearance and playability, Platinum TE offers important maintenance benefits. With proper management, this turfgrass exhibits high salt tolerance and proven performance. It also demonstrates excellent general foliar disease resistance when managed correctly. Platinum TE establishes rapidly from sprigs and aggressively grows in from surface stolons. In response to day length/photoperiod changes or environmental stress exposure, this turfgrass shows minimal seed head exsertion. A versatile turfgrass, Platinum TE tolerates a wide range of mowing heights (0.070 to 1.500 inches), making it a perfect choice for any area on a golf course. For "true excellence" in turfgrasses, choose Platinum TE. Through research and science, Turf Ecosystems develops and manages new turfgrass cultivars and maintenance products that are better-suited to both performance expectations and environmental limitations. Under direction of its vice president, Ron R. Duncan, PhD, the Florida-based company offers a full range of turfgrass and irrigation water management services, including scientific research; new cultivar development; site assessments; treatment and long-term environmental sustainability strategies for recreational turfgrass, water and soil; and management of seashore paspalum installations; general turfgrass and water issues consulting. Turf Ecosystem's focus on global environmental stewardship has led to the effective ecosystem management of alternative irrigation sources for recreational turfgrasses, including recycled or reclaimed water, stormwater, brackish water and blended water containing variable salinity levels. A former professor of Crop and Soil Sciences at the University of Georgia, Dr. Duncan is developing revolutionary turfgrass cultivars at Turf Ecosystems, including Platinum TE. This unique paspalum turfgrass cultivar offers golf courses and other sports venues unparalleled playability and cosmetic appearance. LoJack Recovers Milestone 100,000th Stolen Vehicle in U.S.

Radio Frequency Technology and Integration with Police Integral to Recovery

LoJack Corporation (NASDAQ:LOJN) , the leading global provider of tracking and recovery systems for stolen mobile assets, today announced it has recovered a milestone 100,000th stolen vehicle in the United States. The recovery, which took place in Philadelphia and leveraged LoJack's Police Tracking Computers that are installed in police aviation units and squad cars, is another proof point that LoJack's radio frequency technology and direct integration with police is the optimal solution for stolen vehicle recovery.

"We are proud to reach this milestone and, most importantly, we are proud of LoJack's continued ability over the past two decades to partner with police departments such as those in Philadelphia to help in the fight against vehicle theft," said Richard T. Riley, LoJack's Chairman and CEO. "The LoJack System's integration with more than 1,800 law enforcement agencies in the United States has proven time and time again to be a solution that works. It has enabled law enforcement utilizing our system to recover over 100,000 stolen LoJack-equipped vehicles, while also helping them put criminals, of these and other more serious crimes, behind bars."

The 100,000th U.S. Recovery: How Police Used LoJack's Covert System to Foil the Thieves

The recovery took place in Eastern Philadelphia on January 12, 2007, involving a stolen 2006 Nissan Pathfinder. The SUV was tracked and recovered by a joint effort between a Philadelphia Police Department Aviation Unit and a Philadelphia Police Major Crimes Auto Squad, both of which were equipped with the LoJack System. The Philadelphia helicopter tracked the signal of the stolen vehicle to its approximate location and officers from the Major Crimes Auto Squad then used the LoJack System to pinpoint the vehicle's precise location. In this recovery, the thief disabled the vehicle's GPS system, but could not disengage the LoJack System due to its covert nature.

About LoJack Corporation

LoJack Corporation, the company that invented the stolen vehicle recovery market two decades ago, is the undisputed global leader in tracking and recovering valuable mobile assets. The company's time-tested system is optimized for recovering stolen mobile assets through its proven radio frequency technology and unique integration with law enforcement agencies in the United States that use LoJack's in-vehicle tracking equipment to recover cars, trucks, commercial vehicles, construction equipment and motorcycles. The company's Stolen Vehicle Recovery System delivers a better than 90 percent success rate for cars and trucks and has helped recover more than $4 billion in stolen LoJack-equipped assets worldwide. Today LoJack operates in 26 states and the District of Columbia, and in 28 countries throughout Europe, Africa, Latin America and Asia.

Machinists at Harley Ratify New Contract

Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Local 175 in York, PA, today voted to ratify a new 3-year contract with Harley-Davidson that preserves established healthcare coverage, boosts wages and ends a 3- week-old dispute at Harley's largest U.S. facility.

The contract was approved by 83 percent following a unanimous recommendation by the Local 175 negotiating committee. "This agreement is a significant improvement over the proposal rejected by workers earlier this month," said Tom Boger, lead negotiator and District 98 Directing Business Representative. "I applaud the Machinists in York for their determination to win a better contract for themselves and the next generation of workers."

Among the key issues in the dispute were healthcare costs and wage rates for new employees. Under the new contract, Harley will continue to pay full healthcare premiums for employees and new hires will progress to the same top pay as current employees. Wages will rise 12 percent over the life of the accord to a maximum hourly rate of $27.89.

"There is a time for sharing sacrifices and a time for sharing success," said IAM International President Tom Buffenbarger. "And after eighteen straight quarters of record profits and sales at Harley, these workers know what time it is."

Harley-Davidson earned nearly $1 billion in profits last year amid surging worldwide demand for the company's iconic line of motorcycles and related products.

Additional information about the agreement and a return-to-work schedule for Harley workers in York will be posted on the Local 175 website at http://www.iamlocal-175.org/.

The IAM represents nearly 3,000 workers at Harley-Davidson in York, PA, among the nearly 700,000 active and retired members at more than 4,000 companies across North America. More information is available at IAM Local 175 website and http://www.goiam.org/.

Overall Race Leader Levi Leipheimer and Stage Six Winner JJ Haedo Lead Peloton Of World's Best Cyclists Into Southern California for Sunday's Amgen Tour of California Finale

105-mile Route from Santa Barbara to Santa Clarita Attracts Biggest Crowd Yet

The biggest Amgen Tour of California crowd to date witnessed Team CSC's Juan Jose "J.J." Haedo (ARG) win a sprint to the finish line in Santa Clarita to take his second stage, with overall race leader, Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team's Levi Leipheimer (USA) close behind, maintaining possession of the Amgen Leader Jersey going into Sunday's final stage in Long Beach, Calif.

Today's Stage 6 of the Amgen Tour of California saw the toughest racing, the warmest weather and the biggest crowds of the seven racing days so far, as the peloton of world-class cyclists competed along a hilly route from Santa Barbara to Santa Clarita.

Haedo's (ARG) sprint effort at the finish overtook T-Mobile Team's Greg Henderson (NZL), Paolo Bettini (ITA), the world champion rider for Quick Step- Innergetic, Credit Agricole's Thor Hushovd (NOR) and Predictor-Lotto's Freddie Rodriguez (USA).

"I had to go really deep the whole day. I think it was the hardest day in the Amgen Tour of California for sure," said Haedo. "It was a hard day for the sprinters to go over the climb; there was a lot of attacking. I made my way back to the big group before the third KOM [King of the Mountains], and then I tried to stay in the front with my team."

Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team's Levi Leipheimer (USA), the general classification leader since the Prologue in San Francisco seven days ago, retained the Amgen Leader Jersey after a 65-mile (105 km) breakaway spearheaded by Team CSC's Stuart O'Grady (AUS), which earned him today's Adobe Most Aggressive Rider Jersey.

"I don't have the words to describe what my team went through today. They threw everything they had at us. I'll be honest, it was stressful," said Leipheimer.

According to CHP estimates, the crowd was the biggest of any in the 15 stages of the Amgen Tour of California since the race debuted last year.

"It's exciting, and people were curious how we would do in our sophomore year. The CHP told us today that point to point it was the biggest stage we've had in our two years," said Shawn Hunter, president of AEG Sports. "We've had some great racing out there. We're very proud and more committed than ever. We love this sport."

Pat McQuaid, president of Union Cycliste International (UCI), the international governing body of cycling, also was on hand for today's stage.

"This race is bigger than it was last year. There are more people on the sidelines," said McQuaid at a post-race press conference. "The organization has gotten bigger. I'm very happy with their [the organizers'] continued commitment to this event."

In an example of the aggressive riding today, Discovery Channel Pro Cycling Team's George Hincapie (USA) and Tony Cruz (USA) touched wheels during an attack and crashed after only three miles (5 km) of racing. Hincapie, who won two stages in last year's Amgen Tour of California and fourth place overall, finished the stage, but the team released a statement that he has been diagnosed with a broken left radius and will not participate in tomorrow's final stage in Long Beach. Cruz came away with bruises and road rash, but no serious injuries.

Following the crash, the race continued to be marked by a succession of attacks from several teams to challenge Leipheimer, as well as other jersey holders. Credit Agricole's Christophe Laurent (FRA) and Quick Step- Innergetic's Jurgen Van de Walle (BEL) joined two other riders in an early breakaway to contest the California Tourism and Travel King of the Mountains (KOM) jersey in the final day of climbing. Van de Walle was slightly stronger today, but Laurent picked up enough points to retain the jersey.

"The climbing in this race was quite challenging, so it is very satisfying to win the King of the Mountains jersey," said Laurent in a press conference today. "I am very happy to take the (KOM) jersey in such an important race."

O'Grady's breakaway group of nine contained two former time trial world champions, T-Mobile Team's Michael Rogers (AUS) and Team Slipstream powered by Chipotle's Danny Pate (USA). The gap grew as wide as three minutes, but relentless chasing by Discovery Channel Pro brought it to 1:15 as the riders entered the three 3.5-mile (5.6 km) finishing circuits in Santa Clarita.

As the peloton worked to overtake the breakaway during the three circuits, Health Net presented by Maxxis riders came to the front and helped the Discovery Channel Pro team close the gap. The breakaway was caught with less than two miles to go, ensuring Leipheimer will ride into Long Beach tomorrow wearing the leader jersey for the final day of racing.

The Union Bank of California Best Young Rider Jersey was awarded to Rabobank's Robert Gesink (NED). Haedo retained the Herbalife Sprint Jersey after today's race.

Title sponsor Amgen will celebrate awareness raised during the Breakaway from Cancer(TM) initiative this week.

"The Breakaway from Cancer(TM) initiative allows people to connect with others who are fighting this illness or those who have recovered from it. Hope, inspiration and a sense of well-being come from sharing experiences with one another," said seven-time cancer survivor Heather Warrick of Santa Clarita.

Warrick was featured today in the 'Breakaway Mile' that took place at the finish line of the Amgen Tour of California, prior to the exciting conclusion of today's professional race. The one-mile ride was led by Warrick who rode on a tandem bike paired with Amgen scientist Dr. Joe Miletick who plays a crucial role in developing innovative medicines. Following Warrick and Miletick was a peloton comprised of caregivers, family members and health care professionals who supported her during her win against cancer.

Sick of the Snow? Think Spring! Take the Trailer, the Truck and the ATVs for a Ride

NADAguides.com Terrain-Tests the New 2007 Dodge Ram 1500, the New Redline 230FSE Toy Hauler and Two New Suzuki ATVs

All this snow got you down? Well then think spring! The spring towing and hauling season is right around the corner and this year, Lead Auto Expert Mark Perleberg of NADAguides.com (http://www.nadaguides.com/) -- a leading vehicle pricing and information website -- recently terrain-tested the new 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega-Cab, the 2007 Redline 230FSE Toy Hauler and two brand new Suzuki ATVs -- the 2007 Suzuki LT-R450 and the 2007 Suzuki Z400.

(Photo: http://www.newscom.com/cgi-bin/prnh/20070222/LATH064)

The rough-and-tumble desert of Glamis, California, known for its sand dunes and wide open landscape, was the setting for this season's NADAguides.com Terrain Test and Perleberg weighs in on all the 'down-and-dirty' details.

"First thing's first -- do your homework to find the perfect tow vehicle to fit your needs," said Perleberg. "For this season's terrain test, the Dodge Ram 1500 Mega-Cab fit the bill perfectly."

In addition to plenty of room for five adult passengers, plus storage behind the seats for gear and a wide truck bed that hauled a third ATV, Perleberg said the new 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega-Cab (http://www.dodge.com/en/ram_1500/) performed flawlessly with its Hemi engine. The Ram features the largest, longest cab of any truck on the market today (111.1 inches long to be exact), the largest interior cargo volume at 71 cubic feet, and the largest cargo volume behind the rear seat at 7.6 cubic feet. With a 5.7 liter, Hemi V-8 featuring 345 horsepower and 375 lb.-ft of torque, the 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega-Cab powered the trailer and ATVs with no problem.

"We didn't get the best gas mileage during this test," said Perleberg, "but for pulling a 27' trailer, three Quads and a few friends, the new 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega Cab did pretty well."

Next up? The 'New-for-2007' Redline 230FSE Toy Hauler, a Division of Fleetwood RV (http://www.fleetwoodrv.com/redline/). According to Perleberg, the Redline came with all the creature comforts of home (including A/C, heat, hot and cold running water, a refrigerator, freezer and a high-powered stereo with outdoor speakers) in a lightweight package capable of being towed by a half-ton pick-up.

"The 2007 Redline 230FSE Toy Hauler is versatile and cool -- a comfortable, utility-style workhorse with plenty of modern conveniences, including an easy-lowering rear door that doubles as a ramp for simple-in, simple-out driving and loading."

According to Perleberg, the Redline sleeps 8 to 10 comfortably, with two 60" x 80" queen beds, and with a fresh water holding tank of 100 gallons (convenient for desert accommodations with no hook-ups). What's more, the 230FSE features a roomy kitchen, two large sofa sleepers and a maximum of 8'11" cargo length, more than ample room for hauling two large ATVs.

And finally, two sharp ATVs, the 2007 Suzuki LT-R450 (http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/LTR450K7/Default.aspx) and the 2007 Suzuki Z400 (http://www.suzukicycles.com/Products/LTZ400K7/Default.aspx) were the vehicles of choice for Glamis' sandy hills and rugged desert terrain.

"The 2007 Suzuki LT-R450 is the perfect choice for a 'race-driven spirit'," said Perleberg. "This is an ATV designed with racing in mind, with all of the latest tricks-of-the-trade included -- brand new, right out of the box." According to Perleberg, the LT-R450 has incredible acceleration with a torque curve that always seems to be in the right place, and extremely predictable handling.

"No less exciting is the Z400," said Perleberg, "with its long-travel suspension and smooth ride while throttling through moguls."

According to Don Christy Jr., president and CEO of NADAguides.com, the popularity of Toy Haulers and Sport ATVs is on the rise.

"In the last two years, the Toy Hauler and Sport ATV markets have grown increasingly popular with our website visitors," said Christy. "And each year, the production quality of these types of vehicles has improved significantly."

To learn more about the new 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 Mega-Cab, the 2007 Redline Toy Hauler, the 2007 Suzuki LT-R450 or the Suzuki Z400, as well as additional Car Buying Research Tools and Services, visit NADAguides.com where shoppers can compare new cars, new trucks and new SUVs, as well as research car buying reviews and get new car prices. More Than One-Third Say Traffic Congestion is a Serious Problem in Their Community

Over half of those in the Western Region of the United States say traffic is a serious problem

-- Unfortunately, traffic congestion and their accompanying delays are a fact of life in many communities and for many U.S. adults. Just over one-third (37%) say that traffic congestion is a serious problem in their community, while one-quarter say traffic congestion is a serious problem that is not being addressed. 12 percent say it is a serious problem that is being addressed. Just under two in five (39%) say traffic is a moderate problem and 21 percent say it is not a problem at all.

This is definitely a case of region playing a role. Just one-quarter (26%) of those who live in the Midwest and 32 percent of those in the South say traffic congestion is a serious problem. In the East, over one-third (37%) say traffic congestion is a serious problem. Compare this to the West where over half (56%) believe traffic congestion is a serious problem.

These are some of the results of a Harris Poll of 2,337 U.S. adults conducted online between January 11 and 18, 2007 by Harris Interactive(R).

Would the United States Accept A Congestion Tax?

Recently, the city of London introduced its controversial "congestion tax" as a way to help reduce traffic levels and all that accompanies it, many people around the world watched to see if the public would accept the policy. While it seems to be going smoothly in London, U.S. adults do not appear to be as ready to embrace such a congestion tax in their cities.

When it comes to imposing a congestion tax in U.S. cities, two-thirds (66%) of adults oppose such a tax with half (51%) saying they strongly oppose it. Just 22 percent say they support it. Even among those who say traffic in their community is a serious problem most would not support such a tax. Only three in ten (29%) of those who say traffic is a serious problem support a congestion tax while 61 percent oppose it. This may be an issue of the importance of cars to Americans and the lack of good public transportation in many U.S. cities, not just a case of not wanting to pay another tax.

Home Purchases Can Lead to Reduced Energy Costs

Harris Interactive also asked people if they would be willing to pay a higher price for a new house that would reduce energy use and could also reduce their monthly heating and cooling bills. Seven in ten U.S. adults say they would be willing to pay more for such a house and only 19 percent said they would not be willing. However, people were not asked how much more they would be willing to pay.

Other findings in this Harris Poll include:

-- Over two in five (44%) of those who use public transportation to get to

work say traffic congestion is a serious and unaddressed problem in

their community while less than one-quarter (23%) of those who drive

themselves share this sentiment. This may reflect the greater use of

public transportation in larger cities;

-- Just over half (55%) of adults drive themselves to work while only 4

percent each take public transportation, walk or are part of a carpool;

-- Those in the East are more likely to drive themselves to work (58%) and

are also more likely to take public transportation (8%), while seven

percent of those in the West say they are part of a carpool.

-- Six in ten (61%) of U.S. adults say they are concerned about global

warming while 35 percent are not concerned. There is a gender

difference on this issue as two-thirds of women (67%) say they are

concerned while just 55 percent of men say they are concerned about

global warming;

-- When it comes to spending more for a home that would reduce energy

costs, Baby Boomers and Echo Boomers are slightly more likely than

other generations (73% and 72% respectively) to say they would be

willing to do this.

Methodology

This Harris Poll(R) was conducted online within the United States between January 11 and 18, 2007, among 2,337 adults (aged 18 and over). Figures for age, sex, race, education, region and household income were weighted where necessary to bring them into line with their actual proportions in the population. Propensity score weighting was also used to adjust for respondents' propensity to be online.

All surveys are subject to several sources of error. These include: sampling error (because only a sample of a population is interviewed); measurement error due to question wording and/or question order, deliberately or unintentionally inaccurate responses, nonresponse (including refusals), interviewer effects (when live interviewers are used) and weighting.

With one exception (sampling error) the magnitude of the errors that result cannot be estimated. There is, therefore, no way to calculate a finite "margin of error" for any survey and the use of these words should be avoided.

With pure probability samples, with 100 percent response rates, it is possible to calculate the probability that the sampling error (but not other sources of error) is not greater than some number. With a pure probability sample of 2,337 adults one could say with a ninety-five percent probability that the overall results would have a sampling error of +/- two percentage points. However that does not take other sources of error into account. This online survey is not based on a probability sample and therefore no theoretical sampling error can be calculated.

These statements conform to the principles of disclosure of the National Council on Public Polls.

SEA ISLE SUPREME IN FULL SWING

Athens, GA - Introduced in the summer of 2006, Sea Isle Supreme has taken root on golf courses around the world. This tournament quality grass is a low-growing, rapidly spreading semi-dwarf product that's perfect for golf courses from tee to green. Many courses have chosen Sea Isle Supreme for its versatility, ease of maintenance and excellent appearance.

An aggressive, yet non-invasive grower, Sea Isle Supreme accommodates a wide range of mowing heights and can be used on tees, fairways, roughs and greens. As water quality, quantity and conservation concerns continue to drive the global golf course landscape, Sea Isle Supreme offers an eco-friendly and low-maintenance alternative to the grasses of the past. It is more salt tolerant than any other commercially grown paspalum and can tolerate most types of alternate water sources including wastewater, effluent gray water, brackish water and even ocean water/fresh water blends. Plus, it often requires less nitrogen and less water than other warm season cultivars. As water quality decreases and salinity challenges increase, specifying a high-caliber grass like Sea Isle Supreme can reduce a golf course's long-term maintenance costs and improve grass management.

The irrigation flexibility made Sea Isle Supreme an excellent choice for the greens at The Old Collier Golf Club in Naples, Florida. "We could have chosen any grass variety for our greens," said Golf Course Manager Tim Hiers. "But we chose Sea Isle Supreme because it offers the best putting surface available, considering the brackish quality of our water. Plus it features a great root system, with growth of four to seven inches when managed properly. The result has been greens our membership especially likes for their consistency, speed and uniformity."

Sea Isle Supreme looks great and plays even better. With its excellent cool weather color retention, Sea Isle Supreme features year-round good looks. And it withholds its appearance even under the toughest conditions, offering superior recovery from injury. These characteristics have made a difference at South Carolina's Kiawah Island Golf Resort. "Besides being the most conducive turf for our water type at the Ocean Course, Sea Isle Supreme gives the greens an overseeded appearance," said Kiawah Island Golf Superintendent Jeff Stone. "And the quality of the grass has actually exceeded the expectations of our customers."

For all these reasons, many golf courses, especially those in coastal areas, are selecting Sea Isle Supreme. The grass is currently featured at top courses in the United States, as well as those around the world - in China, Fiji, Dominican Republic, Tahiti and the United Arab Emirates, for example.

To further promote Sea Isle Supreme to both international and domestic golf courses, the growers association will be exhibiting at the Golf Industry Show in Anaheim, California, February 22-24, at booth #1816.

Developed by Dr. Ron Duncan, former professor of Crop and Soil Sciences at the University of Georgia, USA, Sea Isle Supreme can be irrigated using alternate water sources including salt water and reclaimed water. This cutting-edge semi-dwarf seashore paspalum variety is the most salt tolerant of the other commercially grown paspalums. It's an ideal choice for golf course greens, fairways, tees and roughs. Sea Isle Supreme is available through the following farms within the Sea Isle Supreme Growers Association: Diamond Turf, Phillip Jennings Turf, Pike Creek Turf, SMR Farms, South Florida Grassing, and Southern Turf International. For more information, visit the Sea Isle Supreme Growers Association online at www.seaislesupreme.com.

Car Shoppers Show Interest in SUVs in 2007, According to Cars.com Survey

CHICAGO, Feb. 21 -- Despite a slowdown in SUV sales over the past several years as a result of higher gas prices, 21 percent of consumers who plan to buy a car in 2007 intend to purchase an SUV or crossover vehicle, according to a recent Cars.com survey.*

Roughly 24 percent of survey respondents said they will buy a new or used car this year, and no body style was more popular than SUVs and crossovers. Next were small sedans, at more than 19 percent; large sedans, 11 percent; compact cars, 8 percent; pickup trucks, 7 percent; and hybrid cars, 6 percent. A large portion of consumers -- 28 percent -- remain undecided as to what type of car they will buy.

"Manufacturers are doing a good job of making SUVs and crossover vehicles more fuel-efficient, which will be more attractive to consumers," said Patrick Olsen, managing editor of Cars.com. "However, high gas prices will still be a deciding factor for many undecided shoppers, especially if prices climb again as they typically do in the summer months."

Fuel-efficiency was the second most important factor for shoppers when it came to choosing a car, behind price. Fuel-efficiency was followed by safety, size and body style in order of importance to consumers.

* The survey was conducted online for Cars.com by Impulse Research Inc., with a random sample of 1,011 men and women representing a cross-section of the U.S. population. The overall sampling error for this survey is plus or minus 3% at a 95% level of confidence.

SnoCountry Reports Latest Skiing Conditions Information

LEBANON, N.H., Feb. 20 Following are the latest skiing conditions information as supplied by SnoCountry Mountain Reports as of Tuesday, Feb 20 2007, 6:03:37 AM EST.
